I have many passions, some came from the past and some
others are coming from today such as film, photography, and acting. But most of
all my true passion is dance. Every since I was little, my daily activity would
be dancing. My passion in dance gets stronger and stronger. I haven't danced
lately because I haven't really focused on dance. But now, I want to become
better in dance. I want to learn how to become by making my own choreography.
Where I will learn how to create my own is either by watching others online
dance their own, and probably ask a friend who is willing to help me. But not
just an ordinary friend but someone who had experience. For me to "Take
Action" with my passion is by dancing with people who is more advanced and
try to take advice in my passion.

Allusion Poem Final: (Artemis Goddess of Creativity and Provtectivity)
She is untamed with a wondeful smile everyday.
Filled with many types of surprises that you can decribe.
She is like no other,
But one who still seems unique.
At times she is very wild with no shame.
Who love creatures big and small.
Once creativity kicks in, her thoughts becomes a passion.
Her identity becomes mysterious.
But her kind-hearted soul makes her powerful.
She's weird with different personalities.
Not only she's kind-hearted, but one who loves to hunt.
Hunt for new adventures and seeks new points in life of creativity.
Her love for others is too for her art.
Filled with many types of surprises that you can decribe.

RISKY BUISNESS: Marijuana

Risky Business: Marijuana
In our everyday lives, children look up to their older peers and try to be just like them. It may be their older siblings, but haven't you noticed, celebrities, television shows, and music can too, influences children and teens into doing drugs. Media puts in a big impact on children which influences them to use drugs and alcohol because teens think that if they do it to, they will be cool. Therefore media should change or replace words that relates to drugs and alcohol.
Children and teens love listening to music. Basically, music is all over the place. Like when your going to school, the radio plays, or when your watching a movie or your favorite TV show music from all kinds of rappers or singers will be playing. Now, music is very entertaining but have you ever tried listening to the lyrics? Here are some examples that may have content that conveys with marijuana, from the song Taylor Gang-Wiz Khalifa, "with blunts, you know we only smokin' paper and I throw it up," and "Smell that good weed then you know it's us." These lyrics that rappers and other artists use in their songs may have words that may convey all sorts of drugs such as marijuana, alcohol, smoking, all that stuff.
However, in the U.S. we have freedom of speech. Which means that government can't do anything like asking the artist to replace words that relates to all types of drugs to something that is less inappropriate. Government has no right in changing the lyrics of the song because they are not the owner of the songs.
Therefore, not only music can influence teens into doing marijuana but television too. Everyday, we all watch TV. Now, not all TV shows are appropriate that's because there are ALOT of shows that may obtain drugs and alcohol. Children are mostly attracted to cartoons, cartoons can too have things that will relate to drugs and alcohol. For example, South park and Family Guy. When teens watch these shows they think that if they see their favorite cartoon or actresses and actors, teens and children may think that drugs and alcohol is cool and not harmless.
Nevertheless, Celebrities can put a large impact on any age. Have you ever looked up to a celebrity? And try to be just like them? Well, children who do have a role model as a celebrity may be a wrong choice for that child to be looking up to. Children and teens want to be just like celebrities which makes teens insecure about themselves which will then give them an idea that they should do drugs. Not only that, celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Orlando Brown who were found doing drugs and drinking alcohol change our kids now. I know that teens and children look up to them from shows from Disney channel.
Teens and children from today are affected my media that make teens walk into a path where they will make bad choices such as doing drugs and alcohol. Television, music, and celebrity role models are what we should be aware about if we don't want our next generation being pulled into doing drugs.

College Essay
Question:
Choose a signifigant event in your life that had a large impact on you, wheter good or bad. How has this event changed you, taught you, or made you a better person, and what have you learned about yourself?
In our everyday lives, we all have at least one large impact, that changed our lives. We all have impacts that changes our daily lives, but different stories of what impacted our lives. I have, that actually changed my whole life. And that was the most embarrassing and hurtful.
It was a fine and sunny morning. I had nothing to do and did nothing but lay on the smooth leather couch. I got a call from my old friends and talk and talk through out the whole entire day. You may think i never got in trouble from talking that many hours, I actually did. Big time.
In the afternoon, i went and logged onto facebook and tumblr. The usual. I got notifications and asks on both sites. Then i decided to post something on tumblr just for the fun of it. I was getting so much notes, i couldn't keep count. Few minutes later, people that saw that post, started to reblog every second. I was happy that i was getting notes and more followers but this comment just made my heart drop. A girl who wasn't from Hawaii said something really bad. It was so bad it killed me. Knowing that everyone saw that comment, everyone kept clicking the reblog button and adding in more hurtful comments.
I cried and cried, I just felt like nothing. I was talking to my friends, and they were also hurt. When they heard me crying and sniffling, they started to do the same. Believe me, it was really hurtful. So basically this was cyber bully. Yes i was cyber bullied.
I had atleast 10 people that i did not know backing me up on the site, and I have respect for that. But it did nothing, it scared me for life. I felt different, it made me realize that, what ever people say throughout the internet, they can't do in person. They just can't realize how hurt and they think its fun to so called "troll."
But then, i still cried. To be honest i was thinking of suicide, but guess what i didn't. You know why? because i know that im better than that. I changed after that, I was more aware of what i post on the internet. Not only that, it scared me for a week. A week of painful comments stuck in my head. As if it was super glued in my brain. Then i went out with my friends to relax and let things go. and it worked. Until now, I remember every single comment and moment that happened that night...

COMING OF AGE. (draft 1)
As the day came, it was a nice, sunny morning. I got up, stretched my arms and legs until i could reach the headboard. I stretched like as if i was a rubber band. As i got up, it felt like i got taller, taller like a tree, but a tree with no leaves. I was still in my pajamas walking straight to the kitchen. I brought out eggs, spam, sauce, and rice. I turn the heat up on my white stove with four silver plates. I placed a pan on top and started to cook fried rice.
After my morning went by wonderfully, I decided to go out and do what i love to do. DANCE. Thats what i love to do. So what happened as I was dancing, I chose to take a break. A break where i got to have a small talk with the person i used to like. Yes we were talking, and did have feelings, it felt like as if we were together. I know im not suppose to have a boyfriend, but that doesnt mean you can't talk to them, or like them. Well, anyways, i knew my heart was racing as if the stars in the sky were racing around the world . It was fast like i couldnt stand my emotions. It felt like i was on another planet, a planet where i can do anything that would make me happy. Im not saying that where i am standing doesnt make me happy, but the emotions which do lead me through a wonderful feeling.
Few weeks later, i watch movies with him and my friends, and more. Yes we sat next to each other but did not do anything. i was happy that i got to spend time with him and my friends. We did walk around, we did eat, and we did take pictures. We stayed at the mall for like 6-8 hours, wasnt to long but worth the time. As the day at the mall came to an end, thats when we said goodbye. I walked to my cousins car, a dark blue car, thats just sitting in the parking lot, waiting to be driven. We were on the free way, and HE texted me. I had a smile.I talked to him throughout the whole ride home. Once my cousin stepped on the break, i knew we were home. Park in front of the house that i live in.
Afterwards, my cousin took me out to drive, i went in the passenger seat and wait. I waited, and waited, and waited. Waiting for my cousin is like waiting for the day that you'll get your next pay check. But anyways, she said to me, "what are you doing in the passenger seat?" I questioned her with no attitude but with a confused thought. She told me to drive, she taught me the gears and everything. We drove to the park, what we did was gaze at the clouds and talked. Shes the best cousin to get advice from. She gave me advice about everything, family, guys, friends, school, basically anything that i have troubles with. So thats when i knew i was close into coming to the age, the age where i get the talk.
Later as i got home, i got a text, and a text from him. We talked and talked but then came to a devastated conversations. He told me sorry, a sorry which i can never understand, comign from him. He never did anything wrong. But once he explained things, got me tearing. I felt as if i was a mistake or a rebound. Not a rebound like in basketball but a rebound as in a backup. I felt stupid, and was filled with broken shattered pieces of my heart. He kept saying sorry, i knew it wasnt his fault, but mine. So i told him about how i tried and tried to be with him but then it fell apart. Now thats when i knew growing up isnt that easy, not only with the ages but relationship. As i get older i understand why it doesnt work out. I told him, "Waiting for you is like waiting for rain, rain that will finally fall in a dry dessert. But the only rain that is falling at this very moment is my tears, tears filled with the moments we had, and which is now being dumped into a trash. which feels everything is a waste."
I cried and cried, cried for two days. then i realized, its time to let go. So as i get older, i want to spend my time wisely with everyone. Don't want to live with regretting, pity, guilt, or anything that leads me to go down hill. As i get to the age where time does come, i will soon know that every age that i have been through, is filled with happiness and love. My coming of age doesn't get younger but to that special point where i get older. Life changes me, every minute, second, and breathe that i take everyday. And that is my coming of age.

Tourist. Are they the blame?
Everywhere there is tourist. Tourist in California, New York, and also Hawaii. Now tourist hardly know the areas, they heard of them but do not know the story behind it. They get to over excited and decided to do things that isn't mature and responsible. Now tourist who are getting hurt and suing the government is very ridiculous, because its not the government who got these people into these type of situations. The tourist comes here with with no responsibilities which leads them into doing stupid things.
Now we heard some stories that you can never imagine. Can you ever imagine a 44 year old man, dancing around a blowhole? Well I can't, just knowing that once you step on the rock or blowhole, you wont know whats going to happen. Another example is an 18 year old boy, who decided to straddle a explosive water spout. Now you may question yourself, who would straddle an explosive water spout? who would dance around a blowhole? Well if you want to know you should ask those people. If their excuse is not seeing the sign or never knew there was a sign, they must be irresponsible.
Now I should say that the government shouldn't be sued for this type of situation because, its not their fault. its the tourist fault. They should have been more cautious of their safety than concentrating on their non-common sense.

My metaphor draft.
I AM LIKE AN iPOD TOUCH
You can dance with me as you feel my rhythm.
Maybe I could teach you in a video, but you have to take it easy.
I bring different emotions every time you listen to me.
Just take your time to learn from me.
You can take me on a journey to keep you company.
People say I am very skinny.
But what you have noticed I carry alot of memories.
I come in different applications.
I come in many packages such as applications.
I come with the skill of dancing or even the skill of drawing.
You can scroll me down,
to search the type of beat,
that seems to fit me as you may seem.
I am like an iPod touch.

As the World War II ended and the Cold War began, These changes added its support for a growing Civil Rights movement aimed chiefly towards 1896 Supreme Court case Plessy vs. Ferguson. Starting with the first Brown case in the year of 1954, the movement was looking into the courts and the way Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was teaching to both races, such as the blacks and the whites. By the year of 1964, President Johnson’s, Great Society, also had an enactment of Civil Rights legislation that was more than just the window-dressing of earlier Civil Rights Acts.

First Quarter Reflection: Grade 9
First of all i had a good first quarter. It started ok but once it started to come towards the end, my nightmare had begun. I was getting an ok grade but then my grade started to slope down. The most important thing during my first quarter was that i am an official high schooler. The junk thing that happened was when i wasn't able to reach that goal I wanted. well 2nd Quarter here it comes. What I also noticed was that my peers and I had some difficulties in getting to know each other. Thats because we all came from different schools. But guess what were one big family. We had our up and downs, but we are still a one big family. My classes in high school is more upgraded and more advanced but hey thats life. I gotta deal with my challenges in life. In middle school its way easier because you know your friends more ever since kinder. The classes in middle school was somewhat the same. And we also had the same teachers all over again. Which was getting a bit boring.
Well actually what i can do now is to improve my writing skills. What i know now in english is that i can inspire my writing with different details. Well before the quarter started for wnglish i was a bit nervous.Thats because i was scared cos its high school is a lil more advanced as i looked at it in my own perspective.
First of all there isn't anything that i would like to change its perfect as it is. aha. I know i may get bad grades but i can strive myself to get better. I just hope that i would get better grades than before. :) English isn't hard. You make it hard if you don't try, you make yourself down if you force yourself down. it isn't that hard. Just keep it up and don't go down. :)
Overall my MeneMac experience as a MeneMacer was a bit exciting. I was shy at first because what if no one didn't like me? you know. it was also exciting because IT MEDIA!! aha.
My first goal is to have better grades than first quarter.

Since the day I was born i started to eat like a pig. As i grew older my special place ended up wehre you ask?? Obviously the kitchen. aha. I love my kitchen. Thats the one place where i love to be myself. You might not or do know me by now but im am SKINNY! I just hate it when people tease me on how i am so skinny. Well now i dont have a problem. I am for who I am. I am a heck of an eater.
As I look around my kitchen there it was FOOD!! I actually love food. I dont know why, but I am a heck of an eater. Once I open the fridge you can see and feel the smoke of the cold air brushing through your face and flowing on the top of the food. So as I continued gathering all of my food together. As i was done I head off to the stove. I drag my chair to the counter table and just eat there. I opened my mouth very wide. "AAHHHH" then i go for the attack. "MUUNCH!" "mmmmm"
Trust me I would do anything for food. I mostly eat a lot of food when I am depressed. -________- But hey no matter what i eat a lot. Enter me into a contest it doesnt matter at least its food eh?? Cant finish your food?? Im your personal trash can. aha. people think its wierd for me as a girl to eat a lot but i dont have a problem with that. Im fine.
Back to my kitchen. My kitchen is very small but holds lots and lots of food. And my stomach holds lots and lots of food. But it doesnt go anywhere sadly. As i turn on the stove you can hear a hissing noise. "HISSSS"
I love that noise because its a song of food. :) It just gets into my head like its just saying "jerica eat me!!!!" ahah but i wont eat the stove but I will eat the food ont the stove.

Roots And Recipes (DRAFT)
Ever since I was a little girl I would love to eat banana lumpia. On that special day when my family and I were going to have a special gathering I would run up to my grandma in my filipino sleeping wear. And as I ran towards her she would be showing me how to cook and prepare the banana lumpia. You can see her soft wrinkly hands rolling and twirling the bana lumpia. My grandma was making banana for about 15 years now but she is still going strong.
My cousins and I love the smell of sweet sugar melting and boiling into the frying pan. It made funny noises like "SNAP" "CRACKLE" "POP" aha but not rice crispies. But banana lumpia. So later as we wait patiently for the banana lumpia, we would all be watching T.V. or talking stories. As the lumpia was done frying everyone started to run up to my grandma huddling around the stove and attacking the lumpia. As soon as you know it "BAM!!" all gone.
Well there was one time when me and my brother got into a big fight, just over a banana lumpia. First of all what happened was that as soon as everybody got atleast one to two banana lumpia, there it was the last banana lumpia. You know how it feels to just wanna eat it and also when your mouth is watery and drooling alover the place?? Well thats how i felt. But then later on i see my brother trying to hide from me so that he can snatch it away from me. I know that I should took it right away, but i was little. All of a sudden my brother started to charge towards the lumpia and I just stayed there and yelled "NOOOOOOO!!!" After he achieved his goal in snatching the lumpia away from me i started being a BRAT. aha. So i went on and on and on crying to my grandma.
But enough with that back to the history of the banana lumpia. So as new years came my grandma mad tons of them. TWO PANS!! 500 peices of BANANA LUMPIA. Early in the morning you'll hear the popping noises and crackling noises of the oil just bursting out of the pan just sitting there waiting for the lumpia to be boiled. While it was waiting on the stve my grandma would gather all the ingredients. Sugar, banana, wraper, and some jack fruits. She first unraveled the wrapers. Then, she cut the bananas and placed them in the middle of the wraper. Then comes you know it SUGAR!! everybody loves sugar. she pours a table spoon full of sugar onto the banana. Later, she adds two slices of jack fruits and placed them right next to the banana. Then she finally rolls it (tightly). FINALLY this is what everybody has been waiting for, time to be cooked.
