Question:
Choose a signifigant event in your life that had a large impact on you, wheter good or bad. How has this event changed you, taught you, or made you a better person, and what have you learned about yourself?
In our everyday lives, we all have at least one large impact, that changed our lives. We all have impacts that changes our daily lives, but different stories of what impacted our lives. I have, that actually changed my whole life. And that was the most embarrassing and hurtful.
It was a fine and sunny morning. I had nothing to do and did nothing but lay on the smooth leather couch. I got a call from my old friends and talk and talk through out the whole entire day. You may think i never got in trouble from talking that many hours, I actually did. Big time.
In the afternoon, i went and logged onto facebook and tumblr. The usual. I got notifications and asks on both sites. Then i decided to post something on tumblr just for the fun of it. I was getting so much notes, i couldn't keep count. Few minutes later, people that saw that post, started to reblog every second. I was happy that i was getting notes and more followers but this comment just made my heart drop. A girl who wasn't from Hawaii said something really bad. It was so bad it killed me. Knowing that everyone saw that comment, everyone kept clicking the reblog button and adding in more hurtful comments.
I cried and cried, I just felt like nothing. I was talking to my friends, and they were also hurt. When they heard me crying and sniffling, they started to do the same. Believe me, it was really hurtful. So basically this was cyber bully. Yes i was cyber bullied.
I had atleast 10 people that i did not know backing me up on the site, and I have respect for that. But it did nothing, it scared me for life. I felt different, it made me realize that, what ever people say throughout the internet, they can't do in person. They just can't realize how hurt and they think its fun to so called "troll."
But then, i still cried. To be honest i was thinking of suicide, but guess what i didn't. You know why? because i know that im better than that. I changed after that, I was more aware of what i post on the internet. Not only that, it scared me for a week. A week of painful comments stuck in my head. As if it was super glued in my brain. Then i went out with my friends to relax and let things go. and it worked. Until now, I remember every single comment and moment that happened that night...
